Project Cordinator, Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment, (AGILE); Mr. Micheal Omolayo, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education; and Mr Micheal Boluwade, Permanent Secretary Teaching Service Commission during the AGILE Statekolders Consultative forum held in Omuo, Ekiti East LGA, Ekiti State on Wednesday.
Stakeholders in the Education scetor in Ekiti state have commended Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on the renovation and upliftment of basic standards in secondary schools in the state.
The project was executed under the Ekiti State Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE), a World Bank Assisted Project.
Chief G.O. Oso, a representative of parents, made the disclosure at stakeholders’ consultative forum and town hall meeting, organised by AGILE under the Ministry of Education, which was held at Omuo Comprehensive High School, Omuo Ekiti on Wednsday.
He thanked The World Bank assisted AGILE programme and the Ekiti State Government for their efforts, while a student from Ekamefa Comprehensive Commercial School also encouraged fellow students to exhibit good behaviour to encourage AGILE to do more.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mr. Michael Omolayo, in his remarks at the event, explained the meeting’s objective, emphasizing the Governor’s commitment to providing necessary support.
He also solicited continous feedback on AGILE programmes and other governmnent activities aimed at boosting the education sector.
Mr. Boluwade Michael, Permanent Secretary, TESCOM, urged students and parents to participate actively, as the meeting concerned their well-being.
Mr. Femi Ogungbamigbe, Transition Committee Chairman, South, highlighted the Governor’s initiatives and AGILE’s impact towards imroved school enrolment.
Dignitaries, including Chief Osanyinlusi Olugbenga,the Odofin of Oludofin, and The Chief Imam of Omuo, delivered goodwill messages, emphasizing the importance of education development and parental involvement.
Mrs, Yewande Adesuwa, Programmes Cordinator, Ekiti State AGILE, presented project documentaries, highlighting beneficiary schools and renovation/digitization efforts across the 16 Local Government Areas of the State.

She urged the stakeholders to own the projects and ensure that the development reflects positively in the results of students henceforth.
Representatives from SBMC and principals of 11 Ekiti East Local Government Area schools shared updates on fund management and project implementation in their various schools..
The meeting concluded with goodwill messages from Mr. Boluwade Michael, PS TESCOM, and closing remarks by Mr. Michael Omolayo, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education.
