Police joins Ugboaja,NLC secretary in Terrorism charges against Ajaero

The Nigerian Police Force has joined Nigeria Labour Congress’ (NLC) Secretary, Emmanuel Ugboaja, in the ongoing terrorism funding and other allegations probe against the Union’s President, Joe Ajaero.

This was contained in another invitation letter written to the Ajaero from the office of the Deputy Inspector General of Police.

While calling Ajaero’s reappearance the Force’s Headquarter in Garki area of Abuja, the Police extended the invitation to Ugboaja over alleged involvement in criminal intimidation and breach of public peace.

The statement read in part; “In furtherance of investigations into the alleged case of Criminal Intimidation. Conducts Likely to Cause Breach Of Public Peace and Mlalicious Damage to Properties in which your name featured.

“You are requested to come along with Comrade Emmanuel Ugboaja for an interview with the Deputy Inspector General Of Police. Force Intelligence Department (FID) through the undersigned, at SPO•s Room !12, 2nd Floor, Force Intelligence Department (FID) Complex. Shehu Shagari way. opposite Force Headquarters Area I l, Garki. Abuja on Thursday, 5th September, 2024 at 11am.”

Recall that Joe Ajaero had just honoured the Police’s first invitation on Wednesday.

Amid strike action threat by the union, Ajaero was discharged the same day with the outcome of the invitation undisclosed.
