Ododo’s victory was challenged by Social Democratic Party’s (SDP) governorship candidate for Kogi State, Murtala Ajaka at the Tribunal.

Despite the Tribunal ruling in favour of the APC candidate, Ajaka resorted to the Court of Appeal where he was again defeated by Ododo.

The Supreme Court’s final verdict today has, however, pronounced Ododo as the winner of the 2023 Kogi State governship election.
