The Supreme Court has affirmed the victory of Ahmed Usman Ododo as the duly elected governor of Kogi State.
This was disclosed at the ongoing final hearing of the governorship election cases by five-man panel presided over by Justice Garba Lawal.

Ododo’s victory was challenged by Social Democratic Party’s (SDP) governorship candidate for Kogi State, Murtala Ajaka at the Tribunal.
Despite the Tribunal ruling in favour of the APC candidate, Ajaka resorted to the Court of Appeal where he was again defeated by Ododo.
The Supreme Court’s final verdict today has, however, pronounced Ododo as the winner of the 2023 Kogi State governship election.
