The National Publicity secretary of Chief Ayo Adebanjos faction of Afenifere,Mogaji Gboyega Adejumo has resigned from.the group.
His resignation is contained in a letter he sent to the leader.
According to him,his resignation is done in principle as he cannot continue to work with those he did not share same ideology and principle.
Full letter of resignation below:
*To The Leader and Deputy Leader. Kabiesi*
With all Due respect sir, my resignation from Afẹ́nifẹ́re and, from the position of National Publicity Secretary is Sacrosanct. Irreducible. Irreparable.
I arrived at this decision easily, it is therefore the very best for me and logical to come to.
1. I cannot and never work with Prince Justice Faloye. We do not share same views and same values. He is a man wrapped up in his ideologue, with no intent of working in a team spirit sense. I recognize his entitlements, but not to force me to accept his entitlements, that simply will never happen. Simply put, I will never ever forgive myself if I succumb to the usual emotional blackmail made to look like I am in the wrong without addressing the clear subjection of my being, into working under such a condition.
2. He was planted to be the Deputy Publicity Secretary by you and some people for reasons far from altruistic and more to ridicule me, much more to agree with their plan ab initio never to see me emerge as the Publicity Secretary and I must say they have succeeded.
3. I have found more intrigues and conspiracies in Afẹ́nifẹ́re than anywhere else in my life. I have found that someone with my kind of heart and simplicity cannot fit into Afẹ́nifẹ́re and be fully accepted with such values and dedication that I bring. The next natural thing to do after carefully assessing these reasons as I have very thoughtfully tendered them, is to leave gracefully, peacefully, while there is perhaps some who can render a little ovation, than to be so convinced to come back and be treated with deign, soon or late.

4. It will be wrong and improper to ask that Prince Justce Faloye be removed; First, that is not in my nature — I’d rather take my dignified leave. And besides, as he has gotten away with defying my principled suggestions on the publication, he has also seemingly gotten away with your order to him as The Deputy Leader to not publish it. it is either that, or, there is more to it than I was made to know. Anytime I asked him to moderate a view or be less pungent, he comes up with *”Kabiesi has approved it”. What this means is simply that this practice is bound to continue, with support of sorts, to which that my position is rendered useless and irrelevant to him…And I, become by implication, a Lame Duck. Kabiesi, you told me some people goarded him to write that publication, same people came to you to ask why it wasn’t published yet, same people must have told him to go ahead and publish it. For reasons that I cannot begin to question you about. All of these may just sit well with you, sir, but NEVER WITH Me! — That I can safely tell you, Kábíèsí sir, WILL NOT Happen. Would it happen that you would consider making a Unilateral Decision without the approval of the Leader…! The answer to that question sums up the degree of the degeneration in Afẹ́nifẹ́re actively perpetrated by some!*

5. There is perhaps something of a proposition that Mogaji may choose to resign from his position and remain a member of Afenifere still. There are two consequences from this proposition:
6. I. That it becomes so ridiculous and incredulous, quizzical to whoever gets to KNOW, both within and without. What will be the explanation!?? *DERISORY, LAUGHABLE!*
6. 2. It then becomes a human problem. How am I supposed to feel!? How will I continue to give my best, knowing all the intrigues and shenanigans that were crafted by those who claim to be disciplined disciples of Awólowo. How will I justify my loyalty and how do I guarantee my dedication after what has happened!?? *Ìgbọ̀nsẹ̀ kínkín létí àwo gbẹ̀gìrì; tí a bá nùńnù, pé kí a máa jẹun lọ — Tójú bá kúrò ń bẹ̀; ọkàn ń kọ́!??*
7. *Death is nothing! – But to live defeated and inglorious is to die daily….!*
8. I know Afẹ́nifẹ́re well enough to make these conclusions. And for these reasons my mind is fully made up. I therefore will not be part of the present regression and sham that the laudable principles upon which Awólọ́wọ̀ preached and practised is reduced to bare, mere feckless, recklessness of some nominal pretenders!!
9. *My last point to Ponder —Should power be thrown up and Providence presents the present crop of dissemblers in Afẹ́nifẹ́re to be in power, how much better would they serve the people with the clear multiplicities of intrigues, schemings and machinations in their ways to even suggest they are going to be better by inhabitants of the Den of the Devil who presently constitute the ruling class…How much better!*
*With Kind Regards…
