Dear members
Afenifere’s position on self determination started with our late leader Senator Abraham Adesanya. We appreciate the boldness of the self determination group but would wish that their LEGITIMATE DEMANDS is carried out lawfully. Yoruba is noted for strategy, tacts and intellectual diplomacy. After all, Yoruba land is bigger than many semi independent and fully independent nations in West & eastern Europe. Like Scotland, Wales & nothern Ireland in UK. Yoruba land is bigger than the Republic of Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg and even Ukraine.
The group (Prof Banji Akintoye & Chief Sunday Adeyemo) activities has helped the position of Afenifere on restructuring. State police is part of the demand on restructuring, now a bold step by the Federal Government towards the idea is oncourse.
Other areas of restructuring is the railway and Power generation which have been restructured. If full implementation of restructuring like it was spelt out in 2014 National Conference is met, the agitation for separatism will be less. Afenifere has told the Federal government that we will never CONDEMN the Yoruba nation freedom fighters untill such a time that Nigeria recognises the agreement of our founding founders at independent. If Nigeria deviate from the Fraudulent constitutional presidential System and practice true Federalism, our freedom fighters are sensible enough to have that semi Autonomous Yoruba Nation in the pocket first and from them on fight legally and constitutionally for full independent Yoruba nation, if the general Yoruba people so desire through a plebiscite. This is the Afenifere’s position for over 25yrs, and it has not changed.
Our fathers Senator Abraham Adesanya, Sir Olanihun Ajayi and Pa Solanke Onasanya informed us that The instruction from Oludumare is that, “There is a Canan LAND before the Yoruba people”. I was privileged to hear it from them first hand.
Let all of us be fully guided and be informed.
