Secretary General of Afenifere,Abagun Kole Omololu has disassociated the group from the activity of Yoruba Nation agitators.
It will be recalled that a group which called itself Yoruba nation agitators marched on the Oyo State Secretariat last Friday to demand a separate nation.
But in an interview with Newdawnngr.com , Omololu said that,the position of Afenifere is to negotiate restructuring in Nigeria.
He quoted late Afenifere leader,Chief Michael Adekunle Ajasin as stating his preference for negotiation.
“You talk I talk is negitiation and democracy” Chief Micheal Adekunle Ajasin was quoted as saying .
In apparent reference to the arrest of some of the agitators by the police he said,
“The freedom fighters/ agitators knows the consequences of their actions and I believe they are prepared for it.”
Several organizations and individuals have decried the action of the agitators in Ibadan yesterday while law enforcement agents are still on the trail of some of them but arrested yesterday by security forces.
