142

By all standard,Sango, otherwise refer to as Sango- Ota is an emerging city due to its ever growing population.

As the border Town between Lagos and Ogun state,it has had its fair share of daily migration from Lagos,Nigerias commercial nerve centre to Ogun in view of the laters bursting population.

Sango,is also by commission, home to several industries -medium and small-scale that has improved the Internally Generated Revenue of the state government.

But that is all as the town now bursting to its sims has nothing to show for its contribution to state status.. Approaching roads with from Lagos or Ota Idiroko road are bad and dilapidated.

Indeed, the Flyover that was constructed few years ago to reduce the traffic jam at its main artery has become home to Refuse on both sides.

Today,in Sango, from whichever point you approach it,it is mountain of refuse. Refuse has become part of daily life of residents, commuters, shop owners and vehicles plying the ever busy road.

Either from the Toll gate end of Lagos,Along the Ota-Ido Ijoko road and Sango-Ijoko road, refuse struggle for space with humans, vehicles and hundreds of shop owners who must earn a living to survive.

The mountain of refuse is such that you ask yourself where is the local government and state government which pride itself as the state with fourth largest internally income generating states in the country.
Where has all the money generated in the past and now gone?.
