Speaker of the Ogun state house of Assembly,Hon Waheed Oluomo,has been impeached, Newdwnngr.com sources revealed.
His impeachment is coming barely a week after the Supreme Court validated the election of Governor Dapo Abiodun.
He was reportedly impeached by 18 out of the 26 member assembly during plenary today.
Sources revealed that the assembly has been at daggers drawn with the Speaker over alleged high-handedness and aloofness.
It was gathered that the party leaders and some members had made efforts to reconcile with him but all attempts were rebuffed.
It was also gathered that the majority members had initially kicked against his re election as Speaker after the inauguration of the assembly last year.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor,Lekan Adeniran told our reporter,that the executive is just hearing the news adding that since there is separation of powers in the government,it is purely an assembly affairs.
