From all indications,the aggrieved lawmakers who Tuesday impeached Hon Waheed Oluomo as Speaker of the state house of Assembly might have settled for Honourable Oludaisi Elemide from Odeda state constituency as the New Speaker.
If he is eventually elected,he would have been used to fulfil the zoning arrangement which initially produce the former Speaker from Ogun central Senatorial district.
Ogun central is made up of all the five local governments from Egba division of the state namely Abeokuta North,Abeokuta South,Obafemi Owode,Odeda and Ifo local government from where former Speaker Oluomo emerged.
Newdawnngr.com sources revealed that before his impeachment,Oluomo had a not too smooth relationship with the members who often accuse him of being high handed and authoritative in the way he has been handling the state legislature.
It was revealed that the impeachment would have been done earlier but for the simple reason that the aggrieved lawmakers do not want his impeachment to have any effect on the state governorship election matter which the Supreme Court gave judgement last week.
Though,the legislators were said to be acting on their own without the backing of Governor Dapo Abioduns who a source said not interested in what happens to the house leadership.
However,an indication that all may not be well between the impeached Speaker and the governor was the fact that he did not join the later in the chartered Jet which brought him to Ilisan to the warm embrace of his supporters last Friday after the Supreme Court victory.

Furthermore,the choice of Elemide, our source revealed ,was not surprising as he was initially been supported by the new assembly to emerge as Speaker before Honourable Oluomo reportedly fought his way back into the house leadership.
The election of a new Speaker may also be part of schemings between the different tendencies in Ogun state branch of the All Progressives Congress,APC, to have an upper hand in who emerges as the parties Governorship candidate in 2027.
