All roads leads to Itoki,near Agbado,a surburb of Lagos on Sunday January 21, as Pastor Adekunle Adekemi,Banker;Insurance Executive ; Business man and retired Zonal Pastor of the Redeemed Christain Church of God,RCCG clocks seventy.
For him, professional colleagues, friends and family, it is a double celebration of sort as it will also be an occasion to mark the first anniversary of answering the call to establish the Praying and Praise Christain Ministries.
The Thanksgiving celebration and anniversary will take place on Sunday at the Church headquarters,Itoki, near Agbado,in the Ifo local government area of Ogun state.
Adekemis 70th Birthday celebration is also coming a year after his voluntary retirement as a Zonal Pastor and Family Head in the Redeemed Christain Church of God,RCCG,Lagos Province 42, where he served in the last three decades.
Birth:
Adekunle Adekemi was born on 19th January 1954 to Pa Olagunna Adekemi and Madam Ayoka Adekemi,both of blessed memory at Fagunwa’s compound Oke Esho Ode-Omu.
The two parents are from the ruling family in Ode-Omu Osun State.
Early Education:
He attended Egbedore District Primary School and Anglican Secondary at Ode-Omu Osun State. He also attended African Church Teacher’s Training College, Ifako Agege in Lagos State in 1974.
He is a graduate of Insurance from Lagos State College of Science and Technology now Lagos State University of Science.
Still in academic pursuit,he also studied Criminal and Justice Administration and Public Law at the University of Lagos Akoka.

He also holds a Master of Arts Degree in Leadership studies.
He is a member of Insurance Institute of London.
On the spiritual level,he holds Post graduate diplomas in Missiology and Theology.
Ministry:
Adekunle Adekemi, a muslim by birth and practice, gave his life to Jesus Christ in April 1994 at Zion Parish of the RCCG, Oregun
Adekemi rose from ordinary believer to become a Senior Pastor in the mission. He is primarily called of God to be a Revivalist, Pastor, Teacher of the word and Missionary.
As an Evangelist, he was involved in several church planting in more than fifty four (54) parishes both local and foreign within the period of his service in the RCCG.
As a missionary, he has visited several Nations to preach the gospel in his capacity as the Mission board Chairman of RCCG,Lagos Province 42.
Some of the Nations visited includes Republic of Benin, Ghana, Cameroon, Equitorial Guinea, Maldries, Asia, Doha, South Africa, Ethopia, United State of America, South Sudan and Nigeria as an instructor and Lecturer.
He has lectured with the Redeemed Christian Bible College and was appointed as Assisant Regional Co-ordinator with Region 12 of the College
Working Experience:
Before to his call to Service in the Lord, he worked in various organizations and holds such positions as Insurance Manager, Adjuster of Claims and Marine Surveyor.
He was a Senior Manager with AMB Bank until he voluntarily retired in December 1994, when he established his private Consultancy firm -Discount Investment Ltd and Kunle Adekemi and company.
He voluntarily retired on 16th January 2023 from the service of the RCCG with an approval and blessing of the General Overseer of the mission,Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye.

After his voluntary retirement, the Lord laid it in his heart to established a Ministry, known as the Praying and Praise Christian Ministries on 19th January 2023.
He then became the founder and the first General Overseer of the mission (PPCM). Pastor Adekemi is a family man and married to Pastor (Mrs) Christianah Adekemi with children,grandchildren and blessed with many children in the Lord.
