For the first time after 2023 elections,
President Bola Tinubu on Monday met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo at the inauguration of Hope Uzodinma as the governor of Imo for his second term in office.

The ceremony took place at the Dan Anyiam stadium in Owerri, the state capital.
Tinubu and Obasanjo were invited to the ceremony by Uzodinma.
During the ceremony, the duo exchanged pleasantries and shook hands.
This was first time Tinubu and Obasanjo will be meeting after the 2023 elections.
Indeed,as of now,Obasanjo is yet to vongratulate Tinubu even after the Supreme Court has since October 2023, declared him validly elected

It will be recalled that In August 2022, Tinubu, then presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), met with Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital.
The agenda of the meeting was unclear but it was speculated that it could be about the presidential bid of Tinubu.
However,Obasanjo did not support the presidential bid of Tinubu. The former president supported Peter Obi, candidate of the Labour Party (LP).
Tinubu and Obasanjo are from the south-west geo-political zone of the country.
In the political arena, both men are rivals and political foes.
