The last is yet to be heard of the successor to the late Soun of Ogbomoso as a court in Ogbomoso on Wednesday nullified the selection process that produced Pastor Afolabi Ghandi as the new Soun of Ogbomoso.
It will be recalled that one of the contestants for the stool, Prince Kabir Laoye had gone to the court challenging the selection process that produced Ghandi as the new Soun.
The Court had earlier directed that the Oyo State government should not announce anybody as the new Soun pending the case before the court is resolved.
Justice Adedokun while delivering the judgement said the selection process and emergence of Laoye was illegal.
The Judge ordered Ogbomosho kingmakers to go back and start the fresh selection of the new king.
The news of the court verdict has thrown the ancient town into confusion on Wednesday as supporters of both contesting parties either jubilated or were vowing not to allow Ghandi be disqualified.
