The Lagos state government has issued a quit notice to roadside traders, squatters under bridges and other illegal occupants along the Lagos-Badagry expressway in a sustainability plan to ensure the integrity of the recently constructed section of the bridges.
This was made known by the senior special assistant on new media to Sanwo-Olu on Monday, September 11.
The Permanent Secretary, Office of Infrastructure Engineer Olufemi Daramola while speaking during a sensitization and advocacy campaign aimed at encouraging residents and commuters to take ownership of the project, Daramola said: “The government has ensured we enjoy the basic amenities by providing good roads and bridges, proper drainage channel, pedestrian setbacks and walkways, railings and man-holes covers amongst others all over the state.”
