President Bola Tinubu, late Wednesday met with a group of intervention team over the growing tension in Niger Republic.
According to reports the group that met the President was made up of leaders of various Islamic organisations that cut across West Africa up to Sudan.
It was learnt that some of the leaders of the groups had shown concerns over escalating face off between new military junta and the ECOWAS.
They were said to have volunteered to intervene in the face off and ensure an amicable resolution.
It will be recalled that that former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi had earlier met with the junta on Wednesday in Niamey.
