FIFA bypassing Nigeria’s NFF to go and pay our female footballers directly because our NFF members couldn’t be trusted is no doubt a vote of no confidence on our NFF. How will other sportsmen respect our sports officials. It is better to ease out the disgraceful NFF members who accompanied our girls in order to restore FIFA’s confidence in our NFF.

One of the reasons why some foreign based footballers are not playing for Nigeria is because they refuse to fuel the empty pockets of our officials.
This was attested to the mother of Arsenal football club’s superstar Bukayo Saka who revealed that our officials denied her son a chance to play for Nigeria in 2018 because they refused to embrace the backhand approach of our football officials.
We can’t grow our sports if this trend continues.
Nigeria is too big a nation to be embarrassed by the disgraceful actions of some of its officials. The time to act is now or else, the future of most developing stars will go out in frustration.
