He was used by God Almighty, to help project the Omoge man, Mike Okri to the world, musically; he was there as the manager to Okri; in fact, maybe if he was not led to Okri by the spirit of God, may be there would not have been musical side of Mike Okri at the time he (Mike) happened to the music loving people of Nigeria. With Laolu Akins as the prolific producer of the album, Okojie took Okri to the pinnacle of his singing career in the 1980s with the debut album Omoge.
It was he that managed Mike and helped in marketing of the album that later earned Mike a recording deal with Benson and Hedges, which culminated in a tour of Holland, perhaps the first foreign tour of the Omoge man as a solo artiste.
Okri, in deed, was the second artiste to be managed by Okojie; the first being Alex Zitto of Tickle Me, Tickle me fame now domiciled in the United States of America.
Okri as Okojie said in an interview he granted this author which was punlished in Newdawnngr https://www.newdawnngr.com/2019/12/01/now-musicians-better-than-the-old-ones-okojie/, was introduced to him by his late elder brother, Benking Iyare Okojie, also an accomplished manager who managed Kris Okotie in his days as a musician. Benking Iyare Okojie was also the father of Benita Okogie, the then kid musician.
