By Charles Okogene.
Not many understood him when in the heat of the just won and lost governorship election in the state, he declared ‘ nobody can push me … ‘ that was after his preferred candidate for the one citizen of the state, Mr. David Edevbi had been defeated at the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) primary by the incumbent governor, Hon. Sheriff….
The uninitiated had though he was speaking of getting back his godfather position in the state; how wrong they were. Ibori was more futuristic. He was forward looking. He was looking at a bigger picture. His plan was beyond Delta State and what is playing out less than a month of the new government now speaks volume of the statement.
From the look of things, if all things being equal, though all things are only equal in Utopian world; Ibori will soon return to his preemenient position of the pre 2015 years when he was referred to as ‘mega bros or Odidigborigbo’ among other big names that ‘kpai’ a dog.
Very soon, in all things especially in political appointments at the federal level if not state, he will consulted if not allow to be the sole nominator. Dry bones, they say in Christiandom, shall rise again and that is beginning to be his lot. The rejected stone that is on its way to becoming the corner stone of Delta.
