It has pleased God to install President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a hard boiled man, strategist, consummate politician, an uncommon leader in the midst of common and shameless characters parading themselves as leaders.
A dye in the wool progressive politician that worked relentlessly with other progressive comrades for the birth of June 12, fought for its deannulment, fought for the birth and institution of real democracy in our country, fought for the revalidation of June 12, recognition and national decoration of its symbol, Bashorun M K O Abiola, relentless battle for the institution of democratic principles and whom by the grace, blessing and sanction of Almighty God is today, on the thirtieth anniversary of the annulment of June 12, the democratically elected President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In him and on his shoulders
rests the unenviable responsibility of giving birth to those hard fought principles enshrined in June 12 for which MKO Abiola died and for which he and other committed Democrats doggedly fought for its rebirth and actualization.
Asiwaju, on your mandate we stand as you lead the way to the realization of the Nigeria of our almost endless dream of which all Nigerians and generations yet unborn will for ever be proud.
Happy Democracy day. May MKO Abiola, his wife Kudirat, Alfred Rewane and all those who died for the actualization of June 12 rest in perfect peace. Most importantly, may Almighty God continue to strengthen the living that carried on the struggle to the smooth berth at the June 12 harbour today with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Captain of our modern day Argonaut.
Shame to those who laboured in vain to bury June 12 and what it stood for. Today they are living witnesses of the birth of a renewed hope they unsuccessfully conspired to kill in 1993 and which was reawakened and renewed by the dogged and resolute battle of the living progressives as exemplified by the eventual victory and Presidency of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Yes, MKO Abiola was our man in the Hope 93 project while Bola Ahmed Tinubu is our President today riding on a renewed Hope of peace, progress and plenty.
