The Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) Mele Kyari has not been removed from office contrary to unconfirmed reports on Saturday.

It will be recalled that there was speculation on social media that Kyari was relieved of his job by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Garba Deen Muhammad, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPCL, said the claim “is untrue and fake”.
According to him, “It is the handiwork of mischief makers”.
