The Federal government has ordered the cordon off of the Federal Secretariat to vehicular traffic and movement from Friday May 26 – Monday 29 for the presidential inauguration ceremonies.
This is contained in a circular from the office of the Head of Service of the Federation. In the circular signed by Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare, Dr Ngozi Onwudiwe she said this is in line with the security arrangements for the 2023 Presidential Inauguration ceremonies. The circular stated that the Federal secretariat phases 1-111 will be closed from 2pm on Friday 26th May to Monday 29th May 2023 adding that officers and visitors to the affected areas will not be allowed access till Tuesday,30th May when work will resume.
