B I G M A N I S M in our society

It’s not about Seun Kuti slapping a policeman in uniform. It is not about police brutality. It is not about sympathy or not for the police.

It’s about the entitlement mentality of the elite.

The same thing Ekweremadu did. The same thing anyone that says “do you know who I am?” does.

Assault of Policeman : Seun Kuti handcuffed after surrendering to police

The feeling of being above the law 😎

Our society suffers from “bigmanism “

Seun’s actions and his subsequent statements depict that kind of thinking. The right to do what they like because they feel they are untouchable.

Forget he is a son of a legend. Forget his politics.

If someone could have the temerity to slap a uniformed officer for whatever reason, he probably might have shot one not in uniform that he thought was lowly compared to him.

Certainly the complete picture is not in the eye of the public, and I might understand why he lost his temper, but he must be punished for losing his temper.

*We must remove bigmanism from our environment*

Certainly I know many of us slap our domestic assistants such as drivers, cleaners and cooks. It stems from the same warped thinking:
….. “I have power over them”.

There is work to do!
