MCSN received with s dness the news of the passage of Mr. Chris Mba, who died on Wednesday, 3 ITI May 023.Chris Mba was one of the early members of MCSN who joined the Society in 1991, and he participa ed actively in most MCSN’s activities, especially at a period when MCSN w s struggling to get approved by the Nigerian Copyright Commission. Chris Mba is also in olved in the politics and activities of the Performing Musicians’ Employers’ ssociation of Nigeria (PMAN) having been part of the people that actively part cipated in the formation of PMAN way back in 1984. He was instrumental and p ty to the contact and drafting of Charly Boy to become the President of PMAN n 2003.Chris Mba however tlenges but he kept ouring structures emeChris may not have tak n the front page in the emergence of the Nigerian music industry as a huge eco omic sector, but he has been a major participant and contributor who would e difficult to ignore or forget.May God consol
