…Says Datti-Ahmed is inciting

The Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka has reacted to the words of the Labour Party vice Presidential candidate, Datti Baba Ahmed that the Chief Justice of Nigeria should not swear in the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Professor Wole Soyinka speaking in an interview with Channels TV stated clearly that the words of Datti Baba Ahmed is inciting. While he was analysing the third force which is the Labour Party, the Professor alleged that the third force seems to be having a huge fascism slithering into the party.
He argued that they more-or-less want things to happen quite fast for them while they neglect the instructions being given to them.
He identified that the third force has lost its momentum after the election. According to him, the fascism of the followers has also crippled the effectiveness of the groups as a lot of people now perceive them to be rigid. The Nobel Prize winning Professor argued that no democrat should speak in such an inciting way in the pursuit of power.

He said, ”The election is actually a consequence. Most especially the birth of the third force which is the Labour party. It didn’t happen overnight, it’s a build up. And when this third force seems to have reached a mass moment. Unfortunately, there was a lot of fascism creeping in. People started seeing it as something that should be right there and now.
“And if you disagree with them on strategy, they show this adamant nature to change. the creeping fascism is within the ranks of the new force.”
In a recent programme that I watched where this person speaking on air (The Vice Presidential Candidate of the LP, Datti Baba Ahmed) warned the CJN, I said I understand how this new force was beginning to lose momentum. And this is because of the Fascism tendency among it followers. How can a democrat aspiring to rule speak like that in an inciting way? I listened to that man talking and I said Nigeria is in trouble.”
