ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS (APC)
DELTA STATE

No. 124 Airport,
Road Effurun Warri, Delta State.

A COMMUNIQUE ISSUED BY THE DELTA STATE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC) ON THIS DAY THE 31ST MARCH, 2023.

This communique is issued after a careful and thorough deliberation on the issue of the expulsion of the Deputy President of the Senate, from the All Progressives Congress, as recommended by his Ward Executive Committee (The Orogun Ward 2), via the LGA Executive Committee of Ughelli North LGA.

After due consultations and critical investigations into the issues of concern, as raised by the ward executive committee, which bother on the following:
(1) HIGH HANDEDNESS:
He greedily and illegally hijacked the party from the ward to the state and personally handpicked the National Publicity Secretary, without due consultations with any of the leaders of the party in the state.

Exclusive: Onochie going!, going! gone!

(2), MISAPPROPRIATION AND SYPHONING OF ELECTION FUNDS: All funds sent to the state during the presidential and Governorship Elections were confiscated by the Deputy President of the Senate, and he never consulted with any party leader or disbursed the money for the purpose it was meant for, which was one of the major reasons for our poor performances in both elections.

(3) ANTI-PARTY ACTIVITIES.
Senator Ovie Omo-Agege entered into unholy alliance with the leadership of Labour Party in the state, with the understanding that he and his people will work for HE Peter Obi, while in return, the Labour Party so-called “Obi-dients”, would vote for him during the governorship elections.
This action of his was distasteful and irresponsible.

This his anti party activities accounted for the abysmal performances of our party in both the presidential and governorship elections, since the so-called Obi-dients, reneged on their part of the deal, after he has instructed his people to work for their presidential candidate.

(4). CALLOUS RELIGIOUS AND CONFRATERNITY UTTERANCES.
His alleged link with “Igbe” confraternity and their misguided and callous utterances, boasting that they would relegate the church to the background and ensure that no christian activities are allowed around the government house.

This development caused a lot of tension, and angered the Christians across Delta State. Thus, it became a battle for supremacy between the Igbe idol worshippers and the Christians in the state. This unfortunate development greatly reduced our chances at the polls in Delta state.

(5) SELFISH AND SELF CENTEREDNESS:
His attitude was another factor that angered the Delta APC members. All projects coming from the federal were not only sited in his LGA alone, but just his own village and ward. (Orogun ward 2), while the other LGAs and Senatorial Districts never benefitted in his four-year tenure as DSP.

(6) IRRESPONSIBLE AND SHAMEFUL ACTIVITIES OF THE DSP:
Another issue that affected APC chances was the issue of the mace he used thugs to snatch at the NASS. The people of Delta see it as an act of irresponsibility and disgrace to the entire Delta State, which they believe falls short of a man of such a high repute.

Deltans were not comfortable with such irresponsible behaviour as they

saw it as disgrace to the entire Delta People. This is also one of the major reasons the electorates refused to vote for him.

Thus destroying the chances of our great party in Delta State.

(7) CAUSING DISUNITY AND DISAFFECTION AMONG MEMBERS OF THE PARTY.
He led the party in Delta North and the entire state into disrepute, opprobrium, and hate, resulting in the shameful performance of the APC in the Governorship election of March 18, 2023. (8) He created animosity among the ethnic groups, a development that caused

disaffection and disunity among members of the APC family in Delta State.

(9) WITCH HUNTING PARTY LEADERS.
Senator Ovie Omo-Agege fought virtually all party leaders to ensure they don’t get any federal appointments, because he wanted all appointment to be given to his cronies from the PDP and his blood brother.

This wicked act led to the exit of many prominent leaders from our party, example is Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, the 2019 Governorship Candidate of our party, who left with all his followers.

The worse of it was that those who already had appointments he fought so hard to see how they can be dropped, and this angered so many people of same ethnic nationality with those he was witchunting. This is evil act caused the Urhobos to vow to fight him, since he was fighting their sons from their positions, an example was his push to try to remove Sir Richard Odibo the NPC Federal Commissioner from office to replace him with his own sibling.

OUR RESOLUTION:
After due consultations and critical investigations into the issues of concern as raised by the Origin ward 2 executive committee, We therefore declare and affirm as follows;
1. We Are In Receipt Of Omo-Agege’s Expulsion recommendation from His

Ward Executive Committee of the APC. 2. When Omo-Agege was expelled, he didn’t appeal it, seven days after. Thus, the LGA Executive Committee has to approve the expulsion, and forwarded same to the State Executive Committee.

3. We therefore unanimously agreed that haven satisfied the constitutional requirements and procedures for such recommendations, the ward executive committee are at right to have recommended the expulsion of the DSP, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege in line with the constitutional provisions. Thus we are affirming the expulsion. And we call on the National leadership of the party to take the necessary steps and enshrined in our party constitution, and affirm the expulsion of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege from our party APC, to serve as a deterrent to others who may want to thread on such path in the future.

This development should not in anyway negatively affect the members of the party, we therefore advise all members of our great party to go about their normal businesses, as the call is for the good and benefit of the party and her dedicated members.

Thanks and God bless your all.
