Says I’ll ensure Lagos works for all
Governor Babajide Sanwoolu of Lagos state has been returned as the governor- elect of Lagos state.

The announcement was made by Professor Adenike Olajide,the Returning officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC gubernatorial election.

He secured the victory having polled a total of 762,134 votes to beat his closest rival Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party,LP who got 312,329 votes while Jide Adediran of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

It is significant that Sanwoolu scored more than twice the number of votes scored by the closest rival,Vivian Rhodes.

The result of the election was delayed because voting could be concluded in Eti Osa local government as voting could not take place in ten polling units in Victoria Garden City,VGC.
The voting eventual took place on Sunday morning with the presence of security operatives to ensure adequate security.

In his acceptance speech he promised to ensure that the state works well for all it’s citizens.

Said he,” we are the centre of commerce and commercial nerve centre of our country.

He expressed his gratitude to the populace who work all round the clock to ensure victory as they performed their responsibility to elect him for a second term in office.
