Re: Ohanaeze urges Sanwo-Olu to resign As Lagos governor
Our attention has been drawn to a provocative statement by one Okechukwu Isiguzoro who has been impersonating ‘Ohaneze Secretary General’ demanding the resignation of Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu for allegedly failing to protect Igbos in Lagos. The inciting statement went further to ask Igbos in Lagos to vote out Sanwo Olu and vote in one Gbadebo Vivour Rhodes the Labour Party governorship candidate in Lagos come Saturday.
Ordinarily, we, as Ndigbo in APC Lagos, would have ignored this cheap statement by this notorious impostor but for the dangerous way and manner he wants to incite Igbos in Lagos to take up arms against the Yorubas for his ulterior selfish interests
Lagos governorship: Ohanaeze Ndigbo assures Sanwo-Olu of support
To start with, this Okechukwu Isiguzoro is a notorious impostor. He is neither the Secretary General of Ohaneze nor does he speak for Igbos. He is a hatchet in the hands of IPOB, Labour Party and any other interest that seeks to set Igboland on fire to eek cheap, selfish profit.
We state that Igbos in Lagos have been enjoying very robust and cordial relationship with Yorubas in the past four years Gov. Sanwo Olu has been in power. We state that Igbos and their businesses have been thriving under Sanwo Olu and haven’t experienced the kind of warfare and anarchy this impostor is desperately trying to incite.
We, as Ndigbo in APC Lagos attest that at no time have Igbos experienced the kind of peace and cordiality living and doing business in Lagos than in the four years Sanwo Olu has been governor. We dare say that the ‘attack’ this anarchist alleged that Ndigbo experienced in Lagos for which he said Sanwo Olu failed to protect him, exists in the mercenary mind of this gun-for-hire anarchists and his sponsors. His attempt to incite Igbos to violence and anarchy follows a well rehearsed script by this fellow and his pay masters to instigate violence and anarchy using Igbos in Lagos as the guinea pig. Why not, when this mercenary doesn’t live in Lagos and would be immune from the dangerous outcome of his plots?
This same impostor has been a main backer and propagandist of the same negative forces that have made Igboland insecure and uninhabitable today. He wants to plunge Igbo in Lagos to a suicidal confrontation with their hosts so as to curry selfish interests.
We urge Igbos in Lagos to ignore this impostor called Okechukwu Isiguzoro and his pay masters and avoid any needless confrontation with their hosts, the Yorubas..
Most importantly, we urge Igbos to massively vote Gov. Sanwo Olu in next Saturday’s governorship election to continue enjoying the fruits of a well-governed, secure and fruitful Lagos. We warn Igbos to distance themselves from such mercenary anarchists like Isiguzoro and live in peace with their hosts.
Finally, we call on Ohaneze to rein in this impostor before he and his ilk plunge Igboland to fratricidal crisis. He has embarrassed Ohaneze and Igbos well enough to deserve punitive measures and the time to do that is now.
