Over 91,000 supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) today decamps to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Katsina State, where the Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, campaigned today.
Also, Atiku had seized the opportunity of his presence in Katsina to lead members of his campaign team on courtesy visits to the mother of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and the Emir of Katsina HRH Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman.

Those who decamped, led by the former Secretary to the Katsina State Government, Dr. Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa, and an erstwhile APC chieftain, Alhaji Aminu Lawal Maye, came from the three senatorial districts of Katsina, made up of:
Daura Zone –19,000
Funtua Zone –23,000
Katsina Zone –49,000
They were received into the party at the campaign rally by the PDP Presidential Candidate at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina.
Image Director General of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council and Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, and Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State said PDP would restore security, provide jobs and fight hunger.
They encouraged Nigerians to vote for PDP candidates.
The National Chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu, presented the PDP flag to the Katsina State Governorship Candidate, Senator Yakubu Lado Dan.
