Former Vice President and 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Alhaji Abubakar Atiku has pledged to establish a 10billion dollars empowerment scheme to rescue women and children in the country from poverty, destitution and want.
the PDP Presidential flagbearer who disclosed this at a one day presidential rally on Owerri also pledged to liaise with the NASS to work out an acceptable formulary to unify all aggrieved parts of the country.
“I will provide jobs for women and youths and also sit down with every part of this country to ensure that Peter is not robbed to pay Paul. “
He discribed the Southeast as a rich industrial and agricultural zone with remarkable input to the nation’s economy and pledged with the people to vote massively for the PDP to remedy the rot rocking the Nation.
National Chairman of the party, Senator Iyorchia Ayu noted that Imo had traditionally been a stronghold of the PDP stating that the people must unite and work together to send the APC packing next year enjoined the National Secretary of the Party Senator Samuel Anyanwu and former governor of the state Chief Emeka Ihedioha and work together, mobilise the people to secure victory for all candidates of the party.
“With Atiku as president, insecurity in Imo and the nation at large will be a thing of the past and you cannot develop without reliable and dependable security.
I hope that by February, many of you will come to Abuja and witness the inauguration of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. “
Also speaking the vice Presidential candidate and governor of Delta State Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa stated that the party chose the Turaki Adamawa as it’s presidential candidate because of his innate capacity to rescue the Nation from its current state of retardation brought about by the APC.
“He has the capacity to reunify the country and rescue us from avoidable hardship imposed on us by APC. He has promised to ensure women and youths empowerment with the sum of 10billion dollars and so do not miss the opportunity of voting for PDP.
In the same vein, the PDP PCC and Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Emmanuel Udom expressed delight at the huge turn out, assuring that only Atiku has the will and capacity to fully harness the potentials of women and youths in the country for national development.
