…….. designs beyond the box!
“I am so excited about the Design Week Lagos Exhibition. With different designers at the exhibition from different parts of the world, including product, interior, space, and the architectural designers.
Cities, spaces, structures, furniture, and everything we see have to be designed to ensure usability and satisfaction”.
These were the words of the Founder, Design Week Lagos, Titi Ogufere at the fourth edition of Design Week Lagos held recently at Livespot Entertainment Centre, Ikate, Lekki, Lagos Nigeria.
Speaking further she said, “What Design Week Lagos is doing helps us function better in the design aspects of our life. We all think about designs in different ways but for us, we want to show you designs beyond the box!
The opening event was an exclusive reception which was officially inaugurated by the special guest of honor, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal—the Oniru of Iruland.
With an exceptional array of designs, the opening was followed by a private viewing of the bold and captivating African designs at the Design Week Lagos Exhibition, led by the Convener, Titi Ogufere, featuring some interior and architectural designers – such as WOODstyles, Sava Homes, C•Ceramica Limited, Kohler, among others.
Ogufere expressed her heartfelt pleasure in this year’s Design Week Lagos as it presented an opportunity for African designers to display their unique craft to the world.
What followed was a showcase of designs and print materials by Victor Ekpuk, one of the main exhibitors of Design Week Lagos, from Washington State, U.S.
The four- day event gave participants a memorable feeling of the undiluted yet innovative and luxurious feel of African designs beyond the box.
