Siminar on dangers of hard drugs among secondary school students
Following the sterling performance of the officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLA) since the appointment of Brig Buba Marwa (rtd) as it’s chairman, it has dawn on Nigerian that a new Nigeria is possible if men of integrity and honour like Marwa, is allowed to steer the ship of the country.
To this end a NGO , Optimistic Outlook Intiative, has concluded plans to organiser a similar that will focus of secondary school children to educate them on the dangers of hard drugs to their impressionable minds are why they should say no to it and flee from its vendors.
The choice of Lagos becomes necessary following the feat the agency has achieved at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) and most recently, Ikorodu and VGC, which has now made Lagos the ‘HQ’ of illicit hard drugs in Africa closely following Escobar’s Colombia.
It is expected that this one day event will be attended by students to be drawn from selected schools in the three senatorial areas in the state who will listent to experts from the ivory towers in the state and government recognised hospitals and other NGOs fighting against hard drugs.
It is expected to hold at the cricket pitch of Tafawa Square in the first quarter of next year with the chairman of the Agency, delivering the keynote address on how to make Nigeria too hot a country for the vendors of the hard drugs
