The policeman who described himself as an “Oregun” boy advised the yohths to believe in themselves and never to write theselves off even if no one gives them a chance to succeed in life.
Using himself as an example he said, ” when I graduated from UNILAG, there was no name the people in my neighborhood did not call me just because job delayed in coming and even when got some, I did not last on them, but today, God has done it and the God that did it for me can still do it for you.”
Answering a question of a participant as to how one can enlist in the Nigeria Police Force? He said that one who wants to join the police must be 18 to 26 years in age and must be a Lagosian or born in Lagos otherwise, such a fellow must return to his or her state to join.
Though, he said no fresh recruitment is going on right now as those already recruited are yet to graduate from the police college.
Kuti thanked the organisers of the training for putting the event together with a promise to come again if invited.
