The Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) has inducted 13 new members today during its 6th Annual Conference tagged 2023 Elections: Managing the Process for Credible Outcome.
According to the Chairperson, GOCOP, Mrs Maureen Chigbo, 38 Online Publishers applied but only 13 were able to scale through and are being inducted today.

She said, “For you to be a member of GOCON, you must have spent at least 10 years in a known media outfit and must be a thorough bred professional.
GOCOP members, Chigbo pointed out are also members of the Nigerian Guild of Editors.
Speaking on the theme, Chigbo said “It is timely because as we journey towards the 2023 election, bearing in mind the concerns of our people, we felt that as a body of watchdogs of the society, we should use our platforms to educate and inform the public about the state of affairs of election as it is today and in future”

GOCOP,it will be recalled was registered in 2014, currently having 82 members and with the 13 new inductees, makes it 95 members.
