Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige, presenting the certificate of incorporation to the representative of the new body
The minister of labour and employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, on Tuesday, presented certificates of registration to two university-based unions.
The certificates were presented to factions of the Academic Staff Union of Universities known as the Congress of Nigerian University Academics and the National Association of Medical and Dental Academics.
According to Ngige, both unions would exist alongside ASUU in the tertiary education system.
