“We need to pray so that God will continue to guide our leaders right in their decision”.

Speaking on the message, Perfect Peace in the Land, during Sundays Thanksgiving service broadcast live on Dove Television,he said that the country needed prayer more than ever before so that God can fight banditry now ravaging the country.

He observed that if bandits can enter the sanctity of a traditional rulers palace and kidnap them and others with impunity,”then the earlier the better we admit that we are in a war situation and that nobody is safe”.

Qouting from the book of Proverbs 29:2, he said ,”hen the righteous are in authority the people rejoice” but added that when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn” adding that the people has to pray for leaders at all levels to be guided by the fear of God to rule well.

Speaking further , Pastor Adeboye draw cited the example of rising price of bread in the country adding that “no matter how much a loaf bread is sold, there won’t be scarcity of bread in Aso rock,” neither will there be breakdown of electricity supply in the Presidency”.

The General Overseer said that the absence of War is an indication that there is Peace but observed that the peace of the country has been disrupted by the ravaging bandits which is affecting not only the small and the big but also the masses of the country who are no longer safe anywhere.

He spoke of the need for citizens to know that when they pray for their rulers no evil shall come to them adding that the saying in Psalm 23:4 shall be the portion of those who seek God earnestly adding,” Yeah though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil, for thou art with me,they rod and staff comfort me”.
He reminded brethren that “storms of all dimension will come in their life either now or in the future” but said that those who are the elect of God will survive whatever storms in the land.”
