The Vice Chancellor of Crescent University, Abeokuta, Professor Ibrahim Gbajabiamila, has urged professionals and academics to harness their knowledge to data analysis that is industry focused to create wealth.

Professor Gbajabiamila said this at a three-day intensive workshop themed “Analytics for Wealth Creation” held at Bola Ajibola Auditorium of the institution.
Represented by Director of Centre for Sub and External Degree Programmes, Prof. Anthony Orebiyi, the vice chancellor explained that participants were able to benefit from practical session involving data cleaning, descriptive analysis, chart-plotting and modelling.
Participants testified that tools employed during the workshop would have practical impact on their productivity at work.
For instance, Mr Sanni who has over five years’ industry experience revealed that he would have been in France for his professional endeavours if he had had the opportunity of being exposed to the tools taught earlier.
Professionals and academics from the Southwestern Nigeria attended the workshop.
Also present are Deputy Registrar of the institution, Alhaji Mutiu Lawal, Director of Student Affairs, Prof. Rasaki Kareem, Coordinator of Abeokuta Business School, Dr Isiaka and Head of Department of Economics, Mr Kamilu Raheem.
Others are College of Law University Librarian, Alhaji Ismail Yunus, Mr Najim Bashir, Mr Fatai Adedeji and Mr Akanji Olaniyi.
