Sponsored by the United Nations Agencies such as the UNODC, IOM, UN HUMAN RIGHTS and other stakeholders like EXPERTISE FRANCE, A-TIPSOM, FHAPP, and NAPTIP, the five day “Boot Camp” was an exposition of empirical evidences of the modus operandi of human traffickers and the horrors which victims undergo in the business.
In a graphic display of ‘push and Pull’ factors which motivate the desires of the victims to succumb to deceit of traffickers, Task Force members were united in blaming poverty unemployment, peer group pressures, greed, crass ambition and above all, the disruption of education occasioned by ASUU -Government logjam as motivation factors for the crime of irregular migration from Nigeria.
