The Group’s Publicity Secretary, Engr. Anthony Ajayi in a statement on Friday said that Nigerians cannot continue to patronize practices that weigh on development, weaken potentials and mock collective sensibilities.
The Group noted that restructuring did not only revolves around resource control, it revolves review of revenue sharing formula, devolution of power, return to regional federal system of government based on the six geo-political zones, return to parliamentary system of government, removal of immunity clause from the constitution, creation of state police, role of traditional rulers among others.
It also stated that Nigeria has the needed resources to develop herself, but bad system and bad leaders have impeded growth, adding that there are too many pretenders in Nigeria, who are exploiting the country and we must stop them in the coming 2023 elections.
“The current structure has given rise to insecurity, poverty, unemployment and anger pervading the entire country. We need a new structure to achieve true federalism including a new phenomenon in the Nigeria’s political history.
“The current fraudulent arrangement has been deliberately foisted on the country even further, with the imposition of the fraudulent 1999 constitution that ensured not only the underdevelopment and destruction of every facet of Nigeria but the unfair and criminal transfer of every resources. Nigeria cannot develop and grow like other countries as long the current structure is still in place.

The current structure has gone worse than envisage with insecurity and high level of corruption pervading and threatening the existence of Nigeria.
“Nigeria needs sound ethical leadership that is rooted in respect, service, justice and honesty and a constitution that can enable our leaders place fairness at the center of decision making, including the challenging task of being fair to individuals as well as to the common interest of the community they serve.
“The solution for addressing Nigeria’s problems and consolidating democratic governance and foster peaceful co-existence lies in having a government or leadership that works on the principles of good governance and is, most importantly, accountable to the people which is why we are clamouring for restructuring over the years.
“Nigeria’s policy makers as well as those involved in decision making are engaged in bribery, egoism, power and trade liberalization. The Nigerian state is now a victim of high-level corruption, bad governance, political instability and a cyclical legitimacy crisis.
“The 2023 general elections is an opportunity for all Nigerians irrespective of religion and ethnicity to stand up to defend the country economically and politically. If we fail to defend Nigeria at the polls in 2023, there may not be a Nigeria after 2023”, the Group noted.
