A group known as Homeland Defence and Security Initiative known as- APAPO EGBE ALAABO ILE OODUA,has concluded plans to launch a security Trust Fund to see olce the security issues in the Yoruba South West part off the country.
This was disclosed is a letter of invitation signed by its coordinator, Dr Victor Taiwo to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Babatunde Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi,Ojaja 11.
According to the letter the initiative was borne out of the need to arrest the serious security challenges and prevent Yoruba from obliteration.
Among those expected at the event scheduled for Ile Ife on August 18 are vuce President Yemi Osinbajo, former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye,the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christain Church of God.
Others are Chief Michael Adenuga of Globacom and Mrs Modupe Alakija of Rose of Sharon and other dignitaries.

TRUST FUND’
Babylonia was once not only a great country in the world but incontrovertible first global power in history – the country or empire once ruled by that enigma called Alexander the Great. Her walls were so formidable that they were considered impenetrable by enemies. But by a default, she did not only fall to the force of Cyrus the Great, the king of Persia in the battle of Opis in 539 BC, but that she is no more in existence today.
Let us all pray that the existence of the great Yorubaland will not become
history. Let us all unanimously say a big Amen. But is prayer enough?
Aside all that the foetus in the womb knows, General Theophilus Danjuma
specifically warned that a stock of people in Africa have positioned themselves to take the entire Nigerian land space. And this was corroborated by the Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed who brazenly said his stock of people
from across Africa should be given the constitutional right to occupy the entire
landscape of Nigeria including our own Yorubaland.
The question now is; are the above revelations mere insinuations today or
practical reality? The practical launch of the premeditated attack began in Owo town in Ondo-State a few weeks ago when a church congregation were
massacred by the bandits who have enmeshed our entire landscape with series of killings, maiming and abductions over the years.
In a case like this, there are five categories of leaders in the land who should
naturally have risen to the occasion viz:
1.
Our Obas
2.
Our Political Leaders (Elder Statesmen, Governors, Legislators, etc.)
3.
Our Elders
4.
Our Rich and
5.
Our Religious Leaders.
But quite unfortunately all efforts to galvanize these categories of our leaders in an underground manner over the decades as concomitant with security norms have all proved fruitless. We have bad records to show for
this. They seem to pretend as if nothing is wrong in the face of the steady obliteration.
However, as James Garfield postulated, ‘Nothing turns themselves up unless
somebody turns them up’. Hence this new leadership and the new open approach.
Thus, lest Yorubaland becomes an history of Babylonia, the various Yoruba emancipation organisations in the homeland have come together recently to
rescue the land from being consigned to the garbage of oblivion under the auspices of APAPO EGBE ALAABO ILE OODUA (HOMELAND DEFENCE AND SECURITY INITIATIVE) which has poised itself with the challenge of rescuing
the land in a most peaceful manner without instigating any political colouration and hindrance to the political and economic pursuits of our
politicians and business men and women.
This is, therefore, a test of patriotism by identifying the true sons and daughters of Yorubaland as distinct from the class of FFO – For Food Only.
To this effect, we are hereby making a clarion call to all our Governors, Obas,
Elder Statesmen, Elders of the land, our Religious Leaders, our Retired Military Officers, our Retired Police Officers, our Retired Security Officers, the members of the Nigerian Bar Association, other professionals, Academics, Market
leaders, Multi-national companies, Captains of Industries and people from all walks of life to gloriously honour the invitation to the event of the ‘YORUBALAND SECURITY TRUST FUND’ being launched under the
arrangements as will be unfurled shortly.
We believe that no BONA FIDE, TRUE, DNA-COMPLIANT sons and daughters of Yorubaland will defy and not identify with this mission. *Thus, aside making efforts to reach out to the individuals involved in this arrangement we are*
*indulgently making this invitation a public transmission*.
Let us also make our lodestar known to the world that this setting is
harbouring no malice, no bitterness, no offence, no vengeance, no vendetta and no discrimination against any personalities in the land. This should rather be a
platform for love, forgiveness and reconciliation.
