With the kidnapping of 37 people at Keke/New Millennium which happened yesterday (26th July), It is important for us to take note of some certain lapses which the kidnappers capitalize on.

The kidnappers came to the first house and knocked on the door, unknown to the owner of the house,he opened the door and he was held with a gun pointing to his head.
The kidnappers made him to lead them to the next neighbor’s house,who came out on recognizing his voice.
The kidnappers continued doing so until they were sighted and alarm was raised.
That was how they were able to pick 37 victims,7 of their victims’ are from a particular house.
From what happened above,we learnt that hearing ones neighbor’s voice made the home owners to freely opened their doors and willingly.
We should therefore have it in our minds that after saying good night to our neighbors,on no account should we go outside again if any of our neighbors comes to knock on our doors or on the ground that they want to discuss something with us.
It is either we speak on the phone or we should meet the next day during day time.
This may be harsh and unfair to our neighbors but we have to safe guard ourselves and our families first more especially at night.
Generators can be another trap. If your gen goes off suddenly, be on the look out b4 going out (that’s if u need to go out at all).
May God continue to protect us and our families.
And to those who were kidnapped,may harm and injury not befall any of them.
We should be safety concious at all times and be very prayerful as well.
