After almost six months of deliberation and screening, the Ogun state government has announced the appointment of a new Olowu Of Owu,Abeokuta.

He is Dr Saka Adelola Matemilola
The approval of his selection was made yesterday evening.
He is expected to proceed to his Ipebi- the traditional exclusion house for the commencement of his installation rites.
It will be recalled that the Owu kingmaker’s had on March 30 screened twelve aspirants for the throne from the Otileta Ruling house after which a candidate was selected and name sent to the Ogun state government for ratification.
