Olukemi Olufunto Badenoch (nee Adegoke) is vying to become Prime Minister in Britain. She was one of the Ministers who resigned to protest the Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s conduct and has now thrown her hat into the ring to replace him
Kemi’s father was a doctor in London while her mother was a university professor when she was born in 1980. They took her back to Nigeria where studied at the International School, Unilag, before returning to the UK at age 16. She has degrees in Computer Systems Engineering & Law and worked in banking before going into politics.
Her story speaks volumes, a 2nd generation Brit-Nigerian is this close to having a chance at becoming prime minister in the Uk at her age. This demonstrates a political system that allows the best and brightest to come to the fore. That is what STRUCTURE should be about… designed to give opportunities to the best qualified no matter their age, ethnic roots, religious inclinations or other primordial considerations
