Barely few hours after he took over as new Chief Justice of Nigeria,the Nigerian Bar Association,NBA has charged the new Chief Justice ,Kayode Ariwoola, to immediately embark on the immediate clean-up of the Nigerian judiciary that is at its lowest ebb in many respects.
Ariwoola it will be recalled, took over from Justice Tanko Muhammad, who resigned the office on Monday amid a gale of indecent charges by 14 of his mates at the Supreme Court

Muhammadu, who had been battling with his colleagues over sundry issues including corruption and high-handedness, finally threw in the towel on Sunday, citing health issues, after spending three years in the saddle.
President Muhammadu Buhari, who had appointed the former embattled CJN in controversial circumstances after sacking his predecessor, Walter Onnoghen, in January 2019 and appointing Muhammad in his stead and finally inaugurating him on March 22 of the same year, swore in Ariwoola on Monday afternoon at a brief ceremony at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Shortly after the ceremony, the NBA, congratulated the former CJN, but also reminded him of the rot he left behind during his tenure including the present complaints against him by 14 justices of the apex court, thanking him for the cordial relationship he shared with lawyers.
In a statement signed by the NBA President, Olumide Akpata, while congratulating Muhammad for spending a long period on the bench, wished him quick recovery from his ailment while praying for a blissful retirement years, pointed to the ruckus in the judiciary under him, which he described as unprecedented.
