National chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Alhaji Rufai Alkali, has urged the ruling party not to allow internal crisis derail democracy in the country.
He spoke Tuesday morning on Channels Television programme.

According to him,since the APC have been in power in the last seven years the onus rest on them to guarrantee internal democracy and silver its internal crisis.
“Try and put your house in order and settle your differences so as not to derail democracy” he declared
In answer to a question as to why he and others left the opposition People’s Democratic Party,PDP,he said it was informed by its conviction that the party has derailed from the dream of the founding fathers.

As for him those who shared the dream of the PDP in 1998 are no more arround while those left has been sidelined and forgotten hence the party lost its focus.
Speaking further Alkali said that struggle for power has bedevilled the ruling party
