When asked on Channels TV why his party, All Progressives Congress,APC, abandoned devolution of power, restructuring etc, he-Dr Kayode Fayemi,the Ekiti state Governor responded that it was the duty of the national assembly to do that.
Can you imagine such unintelligent excuse /escape route?
Was it the national assembly that campaigned for votes from Nigerians with these programs?
No, it was the party from which most members of the Senate and House of Representatives were elected.
The follow- up question Seun Okinbaloye of Channels TV failed to ask the Queen’s English spoken classroom’s war General was if the party ever mandated its members in the national assembly including the Senate President and House of Representatives Speaker to initiate a Bill in that regard, or an Executive Bill from the President? .

The southern “Progressives” were too desperate for power transfer than to look into the president’s eyes and remind him of part of their party’s manifestos.
You don’t expect an unprincipled group of South West lily-livered power beggars who, for 7 years of APC, couldn’t initiate a Bill for the constitutional amendment / approval for the enlistment of the 37 inchoate local government (now lcdas) created by Lagos government under Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, but stalled by ex -draconic president Obasanjo, aka Baba Bulldozer, despite having Baba Kekere as VP, Gbajabiamila as House Speaker and despite Tinubu’s over flaunted national structure. The structures ,that are better described as Tinubu’s monetised Fans’Club.
The Progressives did not raise any bill on any of their battle cries for once in the whole 7 years of APC government, not even on the inchoate local governments of Lagos State.
What is the essence of structures that can’t get vital things done, especially theirr own battle cries for over 30 years? Or the whole structures are for the whims and caprice of the godfather for the realization of his life long ambition alone?
This is the worst set of Progressives since Awolowo’s era in South West Yoruba ethnic nation, , if indeed they are qualified to be called progressives. I don’t even know what they stand for and I have asked many of their serekode street intellectuals and human right entrepreneurs to enlighten me but to no avail. I am still waiting for that enlightenment and dialogue. At least we know the distinct ideological driven programmatic demands and philosophical underpinnings of the Awolowos in the national power game.
Power Beggars deliberately forgot to know that power concedes nothing without a fight. This makes power opportunism bows shamelessly and ridiculed by power absolutism.
