Gunshots were fired at the venue of the Akure North/South Primary election currently being held at Ade Super Hotel in Akure, Ondo state.
APC shifts presidential primaries to June 6-7
As a result delegates, journalists, and INEC officials have to scamper for safety as canisters of tear gas were fired.
Trouble started when the votes cast were about to be counted.
Some journalists who were at the venue had to run for their lives.
