OAU’s student’s murder: We are under oath not to reveal death,receptionist tells court

Justice Oyebola Ojo of the Osun state High Court on Wednesday, heard how an oath was administered on some of the staff the Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife to keep mum over the circumstances surrounding the alleged murder of Timothy Adegoke a masters degree student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.

A consultant pathologist, Segun Ojo, led in evidence by Kunle Adegoke (SAN), counsel to the 2nd, 4th and 5th defendant, said it was impossible to ascertain what killed the student.

But in her evidence led by the lawyer, a receptionist at the hotel, Magdalene Chiefuna, told the court that she took an oath of confidentiality with the Managing Director, Raheem Adedoyin, to cover the death so that it would not affect business. Adedoyin,six others arraigned over murder of OAU postgraduate student

She narrated how she took over from Adesola Adedeji, the 7th defendant, and discovered that the occupant of Room 305 was not seen until the following day, November 7, when she got the extra key from the housekeeper and opened the door.
