…Says the date represents Fulani Dominion day

Governors of the old Western Region including Kwara and Kogi States have been urged to disregard May 29 as democracy day.

It be recalled that May 29 was designated in 1999 by the military authority as Nigeria’s democracy Day. Its anniversary comes up next weekend.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Head of Spiritual Committee, Apapo Oodua Koya, (AOKOYA) Alfa Kareem Olayiwola said the Western Region celebrating May 29 is an insult to the memory of millions of people who are victims of Fulani time long atrocities. 2023:Adediran,’Jandor’ to carry PDP guber flag in Lagos
According to the group , May 29 has always been the spiritual signpost of the Fulani hegemony, a date they are trying to impose as landmark on Nigerians.

AOKOYA said May 29 being recycled by Fulani goes back to many centuries ago when their Amir told them to always pick the date as a milestone of victory over battles and a sign of conquest.

APC shifts Presidential primary to May 29

“The then Sarduana of Sokoto, Ahmadu Bello pushed that the date for independence of the North from British rule should be May 29, 1959. He actually rejected October 1, 1960 for Nigerian independence saying the North preferred May 29, 1960. It took the intervention of Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Nnamdi Azikiwe to halt the plan.”

The Pan Yoruba group said the state of emergency was declared in the Western Region by the Fulani Government on May 29.

“It was on May 29 that the massacre of the Igbo began in 1966. In 1999, the same forces pushed Nigeria into the May 29 handover date. In the spiritual realm, this is bad omen for the rest of ethnic groups in Nigeria”

AOKOYA said it was no surprise that the All Progressives Congress,(APC) has changed its primary to May 29 adding that it is the first time in Nigeria recent history that party primary would be held a very long time before the election.

“The Fulani are waging physical and spiritual war against the rest of Nigeria. We need to break the yoke,” AOKOYA said.

The group also linked the episode to May 29 of 1453 Ottomans conquest which led to the demise of Constantinople which the Caliphate renamed Instanbul.

“The battle for freedom by the Yoruba should be both physical and spiritual. We call on our people to pray fervently for the defeat of the Fulani spiritual stranglehold on Yorubaland” Olayiwola said.
