After much hues and cry, the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association has finally procured the All Progressives Congress nomination firm fir ex President Goodluck Jobathan.
Though,the former President is yet to collect the form,indications ate rude that he will succumb and join the fray.
An indication to this was seen via the TVC Twitter page, the group purchased the form this evening but are yet to present it to him.
Daily Post also confirmed the development but argued if the former President will accept the nomination.
Speculations about Goodluck Jonathan’s candidacy have been rife for some time as on several occasions, some groups have called on the former president to throw his hat into the ring.
Last month, the Middle Belt Progressive Forum had offered to purchase the expression of interest and nomination forms of any political party for former President Goodluck Jonathan should he decide to contest the presidential election in 2023.
Paul Agada, the convener of the forum, said Jonathan’s “rare” qualities have earned him the moniker “peacemaker”.
Early this month, some groups had also besieged the office of the former President urging him to run for President.
Jonathan had replied that when the time was right, he would make his intentions known.
It will be recalled that three top politicians in the APC have picked up their expression of interest forms for the Presidency Monday. Gov Ayade of Cross Rivers state, Senate President Lawan, and the Minister of state, petroleum, Timipre Sylva.
