2023:Be on the watch out, Says Jonathan

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has asked Nigerians to watch out for his next move over the 2023 election.
It will be recalled that earlier on Friday some protesters had trooped out to his private office on urging him to declare to run for presidency.

Many of them who besieged his office were chanting various songs and displaying placards.

The ex-president later came out to address some of the protesters just after holding a brief meeting with them indoors.

Jonathan said, “You are calling me to come and declare for the next election. I cannot tell you I’m declaring. The political process is ongoing, just watch out.

“The key role you must play is to pray that Nigeria gets somebody that carries the young people along; somebody that can also work very hard to see that some of the problems are addressed by the government and I believe collectively, we will work together.”

Speaking on behalf of her colleagues,Ms. Ngozi Okafor said since the former President left in 2015, both men and women have been suffering.

She said, “Since he left the seat, we have been suffering, children are dying, we are tired. We have turned to beggers, women are begging, children are begging. We don’t need Baba Buhari again. Our children are no longer going to school.”
