Man City came out smoking in the second half, reducing the tally with goals from Grealish (47 minutes) and Bernardo Silva (90+1minutes).
It is a first FA Cup final for Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool keep alive their hopes of an unprecedented quadruple.
For Manchester City, the dream of a treble is over but there’s still the chance of a Premier League-Champions League double.
Commenting on the match, former Man City defender Micah Richards said on BBC One: “Liverpool had the game won in the first half down to their brilliance but also City were not alive, which I’ve not said for a while.
“In the second half they upped the tempo. It looked more like the City we recognise. It wasn’t enough today but in the end Liverpool were the better team.”
